South Campus | Thursday, April 24 • 10am
Instructor: Bob Feldmaier • Aviation and Automotive
The major regulatory push for electrification of vehicles has somewhat stalled in the face of consumer resistance, but a core of early adopter customers has grown in number also. Meantime, the range of electric vehicle choices has continued to grow, as have choices for hybrids. A brief review of electric vehicle history will lead up to a discussion of current model offerings, including the types of electric vehicles and their various technical approaches. Reasons for and against electric vehicle-demand will be presented in the context of market evolution scenarios.
